The Bank of America
on Main Street was a functioning bank (for Cast Members)
until the late '70's.
It was also the only bank in America that was open on Sunday.
I still have a book of checks on which all the characters
are standing in front of the castle. The Bank's address was "Disneyland
1313 Harbor Blvd, etc." The Bank had a Sleeping Beauty Castle
cancellation for checks. I use to get a lot of second takes when people
would take my checks.

Bank of America also had another branch open on Sundays at the Queen Mary as well - so there where at least "two branches" of BofA open on Sunday

When I use to work at the park in the late 70's there was a bank backstage for the employees to cash their checks called Mickey's Mint. It was a small branch of Bank of America. Many a time I cashed my check and spent 1/2 before I left the park!!!!

Above the Bank is the control booth for the parades. When Light Magic was the summer parade, I was lucky enough to view part of the parade from the booth. Another interesting fact from light magic is that there are tiny sensors in the street that kept the floats centered on the street to ensure that the film projetors could hit the exact same place every time.
