Disney continually updates its parks and attractions. Due to refurbishments, Hidden Mickeys are lost forever.
When you notice that a Hidden Mickey was lost, please report
it so that it can be remembered here.
This page is dedicated to those Hidden Mickeys lost forever in the parks and the Imagineers who created them. They may be lost
in reality but they will live on in cyberspace.
The entire outline of the Magic Kingdom was
originally that of Mickey's head. Now it has changed a bit due to new park
layouts (ie. Mickey's Starland)

On the 25th anniversery mug with the parade of characters, the harness around the horse that Ariel is riding has a band of very distinct hidden mickeys.

Main Street
The Magic Kingdom had a hometown celebration thing going on during the
Indy 200, I don't know if it's still going on, but their were two hidden
Mickey's my girlfriend spotted. The signs going down Main Street were
circular with two pom poms sticking out the two upper corners of the
circle sports sign. Clearly a Hidden Mickey.
REPORTED: Scott Baker 06 FEB 96
There is a Hidden Mickey behind the cardboard cut-out in the Magic Store.
REPORTED: Ric Finlan 11 NOV 96
The eyes of the third portrait on the left, inside
the first room you come to in the carts, contain Mickeys as pupils.
REPORTED: E Wart 28 JUN 95
There is also a Hidden Mickey as a substitute for an eyeball in
the hall where the eyes follow you.
CONFIRMED: scix1 17 JUL 95
It has been
rumored that the eyes of one of the portraits in the gallery has Mickey
shaped pupils, but that is wrong.
WISHFUL THINKING: Carrie-Ann Dunn 09 OCT 95
The Hidden Mickey that was seen in the third
portrait in the portrait hallway is an X. You can only see the top half
so it looks like a Mickey. I regret to inform that it does not exists.

CONFIRMED: anon 10 FEB 97
The hidden Mickey that is supposed to be in the portrait in the
Haunted Mansion at WDW is really not a hidden Mickey at all. The eyes
in that portrait are a Plus sign and an X. I know that for certain
because I worked in the Haunted Mansion for five months. I passed by
that portrait many times with the lights on in the Mansion.
WISHFUL THINKING: Lee 20 FEB 97
In the very first hallway, there are portraits of various "residents" of the mansion. Take a close look at the irises of the one with the sack over his shoulder. The shape is rather familiar!
CONFIRMED: Peter Stepniewicz 07 MAR 98
In the paintings in the first hallway, on the left hand-side is the picture of a devilish fisherman. I believe it is the third painting, but not sure, but it definately was the fisherman. Anyway, in his left eye, his pupil used to be in the traditional tri-circle Hidden Mickey, but on my last visit in October, it was just a regular circle pupil again. This was truely a great Hidden Mickey which now seems to be lost forever!
LOST: Danny CM 06 APR 98
CONFIRMED: Christine 06 JAN 99
This one is a big disagreement. After a few rides, I realized that the people here are refering to two diffrent portraits. The "devilish fishman", or, rather, the drowned skipper, is directly above you, and the "man with the sack over his shoulder" is the evil villager, who is standing in front of a flaming building with a travel sack over his shoulder. The problem is that the eyes don't look quite like I remember them; in fact, I belive all of them have been redone. The eyes look more like real eyes rather than just dots, which is what I remember them being.... Well, the fact is that they are all now perfectly formed pupils... no X's, no +'s, and no Mickeys.

There is no stuffed Mickey in the seance circle. We have no idea

Mickey's head. It is a Mickey doll on a stool. I not sure if this is hidden,

When I was in Disney World in 1978 I ate at what was then the Tomarrowland Terrace. As I ate, I looked casually at the large windowed area in the lower level. Suddenly, I saw the plant in the center of the hexagon shaped area move upward. Then I noticed that the whole platform was rising. when it came up. There was a band and equipment. They played "Gloria". It has since been replaced by the piano playing alien lounge singer in Ray's Starlight Cafe'. Just a neat footnote some of you might not know.

At the very bottom
you have a comment about Tomorrowland. It's about a person saying that
they ate at the Tomorrowland Terrace (now Comic Ray's Starlight cafe) and
that the stage in the hexagon moved up and there was a stage underneath
it, complete with a band. It said that it was now replaced by just Sunny
Eclipse (the alien singer). Well, that lower stage has not been replaced
at all. It's just that the alien is on top of it. During special
occasions they
will raise Sunny and there is still a stage underneath it. I was in the
park a
month ago watching some high school chorus students sing. After they
were finished singing the stage lowered and Sunny returned to his normal
position. So, my point is that the feature was not lost when they added
Sunny Eclipse, the singing alien.

Captian EO
We also found little hidden glitches in Captain EO. The first time that Michael Jackason appears, there is a shot showing him rise up from the floor. If you look real close, you can see a roll of duct tape lying on the floor by his feet! Also, during the dance sequence, at one part a male dancer REALLY screws up the steps and does a turn instead of a step. You would think with that
budget they would have reshot or at least edited it out.

I love the Carousel of Progress it is one of those rides that I have to go on everytime I am at the park. Well, it sometimes messes up. When I was recently on it in June. It wouldn't move from the last scene to the end which is where you started out. So we had to sit there and watch the last scene a couple times before they got the ride going again.
