I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour on 12/16. The tour guide did say that there are a total of 67 hidden Mickeys on the Splash Mountain ride.
UPDATE: Sam Earley 19 DEC 99
As you are approaching the area where you actually enter the lines, on the ground there are a bunch of cracks and on the left a set of cracks make a hidden Mickey.
REPORTED: anon 20 APR 01
There are many hiddden Mickeys but my favrite is just right before you enter the big barn area, there is usally a cast member around checking small kids hight. If you look on the ground there is big cracks that form the classic Mickey head.
CONFIRMED: brian mathess 29 MAR 02
While standing in line for Splash Mountain, you will notice a wooden sign placed right before the stairs that take you inside the mountain. If you look at the left side of the pole that holds up the sign, you may notice three nails that have been hammered into the side of the pole. One large, and two smaller ones. They are proportioned to form the classic tri-circle Mickey. I am confident of this because the nails serve absolutely no useful purpose.
REPORTED: Josh Stewart 30 AUG 99
Just before the big drop is a Hidden Mickey. It isn't the "traditional" Hidden
Mickey (Face on) but a side view.
REPORTED: Pete LaMaster The face that is seen just before the big drop is
in fact that of Mickey. With a slight outward and upward tilt on his
face, the rock shapes are too conspicuous to be just random placement.
CONFIRMED: Michael Thomas 08 JAN 96
I kept telling my friends that Mickey was in the mouth of the drop at
Splash Mountain. No one else could see it but I see it clearly every time. It is
not the more traditional Mickey but a side view with his nose sticking out
towards the middle. I saw this only at Disney World and looked at Disneyland but didn't
see it there. I first noticed it when someone showed me their video of
Splash. I kept telling them to rewind it but they didn't get it.
CONFIRMED: Barbara Mizuhata 06 FEB 96
There a hidden Mickey in the architecture of Splash Mountain. If you look

chute is in the shape of a Mickey head, rotated to the side 90 degrees.

CONFIRMED: Jessica N 31 OCT 00
Note: This Hidden Mickey can be seen from both inside and outside the mountain.
If you look very carefully when you are in line waiting for Splash Mountain there is a sign that says Splash Mountain. On the "O" on Mountain it looks like a Bear's foot print. If if you look very carefully it actually looks like Mickey's head!
REPORTED: Joe 22 APR 98
If you are on the left side of the line, you will see "portraits" of various characters from "Song of the South", in Br'er Rabbit's portrait, look at the bushes behind him, on the furthest left will be a familiar Mickey head (pretty unarguably, too) on a bit of foliage.
REPORTED: Joe Garcia 26 SEP 98
When you get into the mine, watch closely. When you get to Brer Fox's portrait, look up at the light hanging. The light's fixture and two rock form a Mickey!
REPORTED: Alain 04 JUL 99
While in the first waiting area there are small lanterns, with what appears to be little holes poked in them. The tiny lights projected from them look like Mickey ears.

REPORTED: Casey Luaces and Armando Rodriguez 22 AUG 98
This is a night time Hidden Mickey. When you are waiting in line and you get to the building where you have a choice to go right or left go left. Go left. Just as you start to go around the corner at the light that is rectangular in the front and rounded around in the back. On the curved part on the back of the light is a number of holes and when it's turned on the light from these holes form Hidden Mickeys on the wall. There are more than one of these lamps in this ride's line, but not all of them form Hidden Mickeys.

WISHFUL THINKING: George Nichols 05 APR 97
In the queue,
you head upstairs in a barn. There is a cooling fan about eye level which the motor has two additional 'disks' attached to it forming a familiar Mickey head!
REPORTED: John C Lewandowski 07 DEC 95
Fan must be running to see Mickey "ears", otherwise you can't see it.
UPDATE: Uswat 19 JAN 96
If you look at it from the upstairs of the barn, you see the filled-in center of the fan's cage in the shape of a circle. To the upper left and upper right of the center circle, there are two smaller discs, as reported, that, when looked at closely, appear to form a Hidden Mickey. I saw the Hidden Mickey a few times, all with the fan on.
CONFIRMED: Jeff Strahota 02 AUG 96
A definite Mickey around the motor
CONFIRMED: Henry Sampson 01 DEC 96
I've never been able to figure this one out. Should one look from upstairs down into the barn area, or from downstairs, looking up from downstairs? In my last two trips (8/96 and 4/97) I kept looking as we moved through the area and never saw anything like a Hidden Mickey. Are we talking about a ceiling fan, a window fan, or the fan that is downstairs and helps split the line when you enter the barn? Can someone give a better description?
QUESTIONING: Melanie Emmons 02 OCT 97
In the first queue area after you enter the doors, just before you go
outside to go up the stairs. The walls are made of stone, and on the right
hand side about 4 feet off the ground are a certain pattern of stones.
That is a series of thin flat stones supporting a rather large (foot
across) circular stone, with a couple of smaller (6 inch across) stones
forming a Hidden Mickey.

If you choose the left line and go on a little ways - into the cave and a bit past where Brer Frog starts telling his grandchildren stories, you'll come across some cross-stitches on the wall to the left. (I think one of them says something like some critters never learn or something like that.) Well, anyway, between the first two cross-stitched (they're a bit ways apart, though) there's a hidden Mickey on an exposed rock at about hand level. It's not a classic, three-circled one though. It's more of a sihlouette. You can see his face, nose, and ears in it.
REPORTED: Janine 27 JUN 99
You can see a Hidden Mickey in the stone wall just after you pass the platform for the WDW Railroad. As you reenter, look on the right-hand side, about five feet away. A Mickey head is carved in the stone, about 6 feet off the ground. You can see it from both lines.

I really don't think from the Tom Sawyer raft ride to the island that you can see it this well. The roof is burning in the shape of a Mickey head!! It's too perfect to be an accident, and truly looks amazing. there is a Hidden Mickey profile lying on
his back in the pink clouds to the right of the steam paddle wheeler boat on the right of your log that all the characters
are singing on.
If you look closley enough you see little briar characters running on a hill in the background every few seconds. Right next to it, there's a cloud. In the cloud, you can see the shape of Mickey if you turn your head to the side.
This is one of the largest as well as the most deliberate Hidden Mickey that is not a decor Mickey.
This Mickey is also visible from the WDW Railroad when the train passes through Splash Mountain.

It seems to me that the Disney folks wanted to create a Mickey "Mount Rushmore." At night, stand at the exit of Big Thunder Mountain, and look at the top of Splash Mountain. Move your head down and to the left. You'll see a three-dimensional Mickey (including his nose) carved outward and to the left. It looks like there are two other heads carved below his -- the one immediately beneath him looks like a turtle. My girlfriend, Lori, said it looks like E.T. Below this one the head looks like it might be Br'er Rabbit.
REPORTED: Scott Baker 03 MAR 96
The "Mt. Rushmore" Mickey is there, and quite obvious. It's a side-on view of the mouse looking toward the final drop of Splash Mt. However, you have to be at the point just after you exit Big Thunder. When you exit from the right hand trains there is a stone wall on your right as you exit. Where that wall ends, stop and look at Splash. It's about 2/3-3/4 of the way up the mountain, but quite obvious. A log and downward-turned limb form his mouth (slightly open), and the lighting is just so that the shadows against the mountain make the inside of his eye and ears. I even asked a Cast Member about it, and he said that he had heard rumors about it, but had never actually seen it. It's a spectacular specimen of a Hidden Mickey.
CONFIRMED: Loren Jones 03 NOV 96
The Mount Rushmore Mickey is very hard to spot, but it's there. I also see another "face" (it can best be seen in the Thunder Mountain line, to the left of the tree stump), but I can't tell who it is.

He said that there was nothing because there were only Hidden Mickeys inside Splash Mountain.
