General

pict from hiddenmickeys.org
  1. There is a Hidden Mickey in the shrubbery in the Liberty Square area. It is across the street from the Hall of Presidents on the side of the street where you can see the Riverboats. It's almost dead center in this picture. It seems too strange that only one of the flowers in this shrubbery was in the shape of Mickey's head and it was too perfectly shaped to be coincidence.

Liberty Belle Riverboat and Mike Fink Keelboats

fun facts
  1. As you ride the Liberty Belle or a Mike Fink Keelboat, look off to the right side of the boat, on the right side of the burning building on Tom Sawyer Island there are three wagon wheels that make a Hidden Mickey.

Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant

fun facts pict from hiddenmickeys.org
  1. In the Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant in the waiting area is a spice rack on the back wall right hand side facing in which has a country painting on it of a still life in which three grapes are painted into a Mickey.
REPORTED: Eric Gestl 08 MAY 96
I work at Liberty Tree Tavern and just recently noticed the three grapes in the painting. I think that it is definitely a hidden Mickey.
    CONFIRMED: Rebecca 13 APR 97
  2. When standing in Liberty Tree Tavern's lobby, at certain times at night, looking into the Paul Revere room you can see a reflection that forms a Mickey. It's from a metal bowl with two handles on the second shelf down third from the right on a cabinet. The bowl itself doesn't resemble Mickey but when the light hits it correctly some of the silver parts of it make a Mickey head. I believe it's purely a coincidence, but very interesting.

  1. In the downstairs dining area, there is a map on the wall. When viewed from the cash registers, it appears to be a Mickey head.
REPORTED: Stuart Bowers 13 MAR 95
When viewed from up close, it looks like an old map of the world. When viewed from the distance of the cash registers it is an obvious Mickey!

  2. There is a Hidden Mickey on the second floor, near the main stairwell in the middle of the restaurant. In a large fishing net, there are three very large marbles that form a three-circle Mickey
    REPORTED: Kim 05 SEP 96
The three large marble-like-balls in a fishing net on the 2nd floor of the Columbia Harbor House Restaurant do make a Mickey head. One of the marbles is a light blue, bigger than the other two, and is Mickey's head. The other two are black, smaller than the blue one, and make Mickey's ears.

  1. As you enter the gate of the Haunted Mansion in the area just behind the new hearse you will notice 2 wreaths. These are the ears formed of a hidden Mickey on the gate itself.
REPORTED: Jim Gostigian 02 NOV 97
  2. I was walking to the entrance of the Haunted Mansion when I noticed something on the gate. There was a wreath with two circles on the top . This is surely a Hidden Mickey.
REPORTED: Jason Step 19 APR 98
  3. When you first walk toward the mansion, rather than going to the left, go to the right and stand in front of the front yard and look up at the mansion. During the daytime you should be able to see a few Hidden Mickeys at the top of the "spires/turrets" on the mansion. A Disney Landscaping Architect pointed them out to a group of us and all 15 people in our group saw them!
REPORTED: Darlene Holland 31 MAR 96
    CONFIRMED: Lisa 20 APR 96
The only thing on the roof that I saw are the "chess pieces.". Perhaps the landscaper mistook one of the pieces (I don't know which) that does have round lobes on it for a Mickey. Just because a Cast Member says it is, doesn't necessarily make it so!
WISHFUL THINKING: Melanie Emmons 25 APR 97
  4. Just when you get to the big gate entrance, you will see a round lock in the middle of the gate and on top are two wreaths. This is a hidden Mickey.
REPORTED: Jason Step 24 MAY 98 pict from hiddenmickeys.org
  5. As you enter the Haunted Mansion, right after the gate to the left is a bush with red and purple flowers. If you look closely at the flowers, you will notice that most have a familiar shape. Did the Disney horticulturists do this on purpose?
    REPORTED: Fudgie 10 DEC 97
  6. The entrance area is a Hidden Mickey. It is a structural Mickey - the architectural plan of the stretching rooms is in the shape of Mickey. In the Haunted Mansion, there are two elevator rooms or "stretch" rooms. Walt Disney World doesn't usually tell guests that there are 2 stretch rooms. These stretch rooms are located in such away around the circular central foyer, where the fireplace and the changing portrait are, that they create a large Hidden Mickey. When you walk in, you are taken into a round foyer. This room is the head. Then, you enter one of two stretching rooms that open on either side of the fireplace. Each one is an ear. If viewed from above as a whole or on a set of plans, the layout forms the typical tri-circle Mickey. The worst part about this Hidden Mickey is that you can't really see it since it is only visible by looking at the blueprints.

  7. The eyes of the third portrait on the left, inside the first room you come to in the carts, contain Mickeys as pupils.

The hidden Mickey that is supposed to be in the portrait in the Haunted Mansion at WDW is really not a hidden Mickey at all. The eyes in that portrait are a Plus sign and an X. I know that for certain because I worked in the Haunted Mansion for five months. I passed by that portrait many times with the lights on in the Mansion.
WISHFUL THINKING: Lee 20 FEB 97
In the very first hallway, there are portraits of various "residents" of the mansion. Take a close look at the irises of the one with the sack over his shoulder. The shape is rather familiar!
CONFIRMED: Peter Stepniewicz 07 MAR 98
In the paintings in the first hallway, on the left hand-side is the picture of a devilish fisherman. I believe it is the third painting, but not sure, but it definately was the fisherman. Anyway, in his left eye, his pupil used to be in the traditional tri-circle Hidden Mickey, but on my last visit in October, it was just a regular circle pupil again. This was truely a great Hidden Mickey which now seems to be lost forever!

  10. In the room with the crystal ball, I believe there is a hidden Mickey. If you slouch down so that the ball is at eye level, as you get to the back of the room you'll see a silhouette of Mickey's head. It is a Mickey doll on a stool. I not sure if this is hidden, but because the room is so dark it makes it really hard to see. As you're leaving the room if you turn around, you should be able to see the front of the doll

It looks like Imagineers have touched up some of the ghostly figures in the Haunted Mansion. The first giant spider you see, on your right, now has three circles on its back. I believe they are a glowing orange. The second spider, on your left, no longer has the "red Mickey bow tie" that it once did. It had more colors and shapes on it this time. I don't believe it made any particular shape.
LOST: Michelle Habas 01 NOV 98
The spider in the haunted mansion does not have a "Mickey tie" on its back. This is the natural marking of the black widow spider.

  15. Arrangement of plate and adjoining saucers on the banquet table. Look on the bottom left corner of the table there are three plates in the shape of a Mickey. The place setting is one big plate and two smaller bread plates or bowls clearly forming a classic tri circle Hidden Mickey. This is a very popular hidden Mickey. However, it occasionally disappears and then reappears a day later when the cleaning and dust replacement crews forget to replace it after cleaning overnight.

On a tombstone just in front of the headless knight, there is a Hidden Mickey. It's hard to spot because of the darkness. It blends with the etching on the tombstone, but is clearly there. It's one of the tombstones that a head pops out from behind.
