All Resorts

  1. Anyone report a Hidden Mickey at Disney.com? I think I can be the first. When you go to the hotels section, eventually you can see a floor plan for the particular resort. Most recently I've looked at Caribbean Beach. Three circles appear on the dresser. It took me a while to figure out it was supposed to be the ice bucket and drinking glasses. I'll be the first to admit that they almost touch, but it is kind of weird for them to be included unless it was supposed to be a Hidden Mickey.
REPORTED: Melanie Emmons 29 JUN 96
CONFIRMED: Joy Kovacs 03 JUL 96
The Hidden Mickey on the room plans is in all four of the moderate resort room diagrams.
UPDATE: Krista Munsell 08 OCT 97
  2. Look in the mini booklet given to resort guests called "American Express presents the WDW Guidebook" with some old people and a dude playin tennis on the front. Look on p10 and look at the fruit bowl closest to the center of the booklet. There is a grapefruit with two lemons right over the red painted area of the bowl.
    REPORTED: Brandon 08 JUN 02
  3. The in-room Disney promo channel ends with Donald Duck and two kids floating in rings in a pool. The rings are a perfect proportion Mickey (although upside down - Donald's a scamp).
REPORTED: Neal Firth and Family 06 APR 96
I can confirm the Donald Duck Hidden Mickey in the in-room promo video. I received a free vacation planning video from Disney and they use the same clip!
CONFIRMED: Melanie Emmons 09 APR 96
  4. The plastic room key I had at Port Orleans (and most other Walt Disney World resorts) has Mickey's finger indicating the way to insert.
REPORTED: Graham Allan 06 SEP 93
CONFIRMED: Anesa Vecciarelli 18 SEP 94

Most of the resorts now have yellow "swipe" cards that serve as room keys, resort IDs and park passes (for those with Length-of-Stay). There is a regular arrow on the cards and a regular Mickey in a circle on the top left corner. However, if you look very carefully, there is a yellow Mickey on the card in the background, almost the same color as the rest of the card. It's almost like a watermark.
UPDATE: Melanie Emmons 04 OCT 96
  5. The plastic covers housekeeping leaves on glasses at the Dixie Landings Hotel have a Mickey head outline on them. I expect the other Disney Hotels do this as well. Since this image is meant to be seen and recognized as Mickey it may not qualify as 'hidden'...
REPORTED: Mark Lynds 13 DEC 95
  6. My dad found this one, look at the "privacy please" door hanger, its on that, just like the stationary.
REPORTED: Bill Sullivan 20 DEC 97 pict from hiddenmickeys.org

  15. My father, who has a health condition, travels with a machine used for his condition. While we were staying at the Poly, he asked for some bubble wrap to wrap the machine in for the flight home. While he was unrolling the wrap, he saw 3 bubbles had been popped in the form of a Mickey. We all thought this was a fluke, but my dad unrolled the rest of the wrap and found that every three feet or so, 3 bubbles were popped in the same spot to form a Mickey. It really looked to be a hidden Mickey attempt. Just goes to show they really *are* in the strangest places!
