If he should tip his hat when he says "hello" you might just see the outline of Mickey on the underside of his hat. He claims to have many hats and that only one has a hidden Mickey ... so you never know when you might see it. By the way I know of at least 2 gentleman who hold this position, the one I am speaking of is tall and does not wear eyeglasses.

In the lobby of the Grand Floridian, if you look at the carpet on the stairs across from the elevators there is a floral arrangment consisting of three flowers, one of which is a different color than the others. The different colored one could be taken as the head of a Mickey with the other two flowers forming the ears.
REPORTED: Jennifer Swalm 08 JAN 98
The carpet on the floor across from the elevator is wishful thinking, the flowers are all the same size not proportioned like Mickey's head & ears.

  36. While staying at the Grand Floridian, we noticed that the crew (that takes care of the grounds) uses a spray cleaner to wash down the many outdoor benches, tables, and chairs. When the white foamy stuff is sprayed out it comes out in the shape of Mickey! I kid you not. I can prove this because I sat on a bench (the one outside Narcoossees)that was still wet and when I got up ... Mickey was bleached onto my jeans!! So not only had a worker not rubbed in the substance one it had been sprayed - they forgot to wash it off either. No big deal. We got a laugh out of it and the hotel credited our bill $35. But be careful where you sit, you could be wearing a hidden Mickey!!
REPORTED: Shelley Nobleman 10 MAR 00
Yes indeed, you must be cautious about where you sit or you can wind up wearing a "hidden Mickey"! I too was on the grounds of the Grand Floridian Resort when I accidentally sat on a bleached outdoor bench. I was a guest at a wedding that was taking place that afternoon when I decided to take a seat to load some film in my camera. When I got up, I was informed that there were white spots all over my new dark blue suit. They didn't actually look like Mickeys and they were not hiding!! Zippity doo dah! A $300 suit down the drain. Next time I go to Disney World ... I'm leaving my good clothes at home.
CONFIRMED: Dave Ginsberg 14 MAR 00
I have to agree about the bleach foam used for cleaning the outdoor furniture on the GF grounds. I sat in some too and ruined more than a pair of shorts. The back of my legs got irritated from the cleaning solution. I first thought I had a bad sun burn ... my legs felt like they were on fire! I later learned from a doctor that I am most likely allergic to the chemical. I was amazed to read at this site about the two other Disney guests who also had bad luck with this cleaning solution. I'm not alone! The Grand Floridian should take action before someone else ruins their clothing or breaks out in a rash. Don't mean to put down GF ... it really is a beautiful resort.

  37. I was staying at the Grand Floridian with a few friends of mine and as we were looking down from our second floor room, we couldn't help but notice three workers marching in a hidden Mickey formation, chanting "Walk!" They continued saying this, and maintained thier hidden Mickey form for as long as we could see. This is quite obviously a true hidden Mickey!
