Fun Facts

  1. Along the sidewalk in the Sunset Boulevard are contractor stamps right up near the curb. All of them say Mortimer Bros. construction Co., 1928. This means Mortimer, Mickey's old name, and of course the 1928 is Mickey's birthday. The stamps are at various locations along the street, but the one I can tell you the exact location is coming from the Tower of Terror at the second intersection in the road. There is a movie marquee, the one for the collectables shop. At the corner on the left side of Sunset is the stamp. There are three or four others too at various locations.
REPORTED: Patrick Jandorf 01 SEP 96
I can confirm the existence of "Mortimer Bros., Construction Co., 1928" stamps in the concrete curbing along Sunset Boulevard. One such stamp is at the corner where Sunset Boulevard meets Hollywood Boulevard. Because Mortimer is the original name of Mickey Mouse, I suggest that this be considered a Hidden Mickey.

I worked at the Studios under the College Program. I can confirm that Mortimer Bros. stamped on the side walks are a hidden Mickey. They teach us this in the Traditions class every must take before we work for the company.

  1. We went to see the show. We got there early to have a really good seat. We sat dead center the second row. When the "work men" came out to fix the something they started to sing the man on the far left if you are looking at the stage. He is real tall with crew cut blond hair. I think he sings the real low bass parts. It looked as if he had sprayed his shirt with water on his shirt and it was in the shape of a Mickey head.

Special note: In the library (and throughout the ride), there are several objects (a robot, a pair of broken glasses, a wishing machine, etc....) that are from various Twilight Zone episodes. With a little help from you. I think we can finalize a list what object goes with which show.

  1. My husband and I were driving by the Tower of Terror in front of the Boardwalk one night. As we looked at the back of the Tower of Terror there was a hidden Mickey on the hotel. As you are driving past the hotel almost at the stop light near the Swan and Dolphin turn. We noticed it at night as it appears that the lighting on the hotel causes the hidden Mickey. It is large but a hidden Mickey none the less.

  2. Outside there are a few decorative pieces that look like small hinges. You can see them as you wait in the queue before it splits in two lines. The "hinges" are on the second or third story of the building. Most look normal, but one in particular is shaped differently than the others. This is a very well Hidden Mickey.

  30. As I was leaving the Studios on the bus I looked at the rear of TOT and I thought I saw a large Mickey. The head appears on the center portrusion on the taller section, and the ears are the triangle-shaped tops to the columns on both sides. This was around 4:30 pm.
    REPORTED: anon 13 APR 97
We noticed the same "Mickey" on the back of the Tower of Terror on our way back to the All-Star resorts. It was most evident to us at night.
