OITC provides these support pages for EIMS filter users. VirusAlert_120x60 This site covers Simple Text Filter support as well as other EIMS Filter information.

We now provide a free service for checking the validity of your EIMS, Denes and STF DNS Filter Exclusion files here.

Simple Text Filter

You can obtain STF at MCF Software. STF is a rule based content filter totally configurable by you, the user.

Automatic Rule Generation

OITC's has created a subscription service called winnow which updates your system throughout the day with new rules to stop spam. Learn more about it here.

STF Rules

The current version of OITC's shareware rules is 1.5.1.5, dated 4/18/2004. Release notes are available here.

The Rules Set Data Bases for Simple Text Filter version 1.5.x and below are presently available online at OITC's STF Download Area. If you cannot support Excel and do not wish to use the online rule database, please contact us at STFRules@oitc.com

We have also released a regional set of rules that are also available in the STF Download Area

Other Filters

Attachment Filters

We have added to Glenn's basic list numerous other file attachments that are associated with virus. You may obtain OS9 and OSX Attachment Filters from our Download Area.

Denes Filter

The Denes Filter is a superset of Glenn's basic DNSbl Filter. Denes is available from Deep Sky Technologies. You may obtain OITC's Denes rules from our Download Area.


DNSbl Filters

We have added xbl-sbl and numerous other DNSbls. You may obtain many DNSbl filters from our Download Area. Remember to ResEdit the error message if you wish to tailor a filter to your site to your site.


Spam Reporting

Spam samples may be forwarded (with full and complete headers) to OITC for analysis. Please send them to UBESamples@oitc.com. Additionally, don't forget to report spam via spamcop.net.
