OITC uses the Eudora Internet Mail Server and Simple Text Filter |
Updated December 31, 2001: OITC's rules for Simple Text Filter version 1.0 are now available.
Return to the main page.
This database is organized with the dates of the last change of each rule, the type of email the rule is targetted for, a fixed configuration code for discussion, and a "filter factor."
Although the entire database can be sorted to allow selection of just the rulesets you are interested in, sorting by the "filter factor" allows you to select increasingly agressive rulesets. For example, selecting only rules that have a "filter factor" of 10 will block Pinewood Software Marketing, a known spammer, but not an email that includes the word "nude" and the word "teen." To block nude teens you would select a "filter factor" of 7.
Additionally, email alerts are available to inform you of late breaking rules to realtime situations such as virual ourbreaks.
